When Robert, a healthcare executive, partnered with The Execu|Search Group, he was ready to take the next step in his career. Although he was doing well in his current position, he was looking for an opportunity to challenge himself. After meeting with Becky Litvack, a Senior Director within The Execu|Search Group’s Healthcare division, she presented him with an executive-level role in business development at a healthcare start-up.

Excited by the prospect of utilizing his experience to expand a new company, Robert interviewed and subsequently landed the position. Today, Robert has acclimated well into his new role and is even working with Becky to fill roles on his team. On his background…

After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science from Colorado State University, I built a career in construction management. The experience I gained in this field helped me develop the skills I needed to transition to the healthcare industry where I worked my way up from project management to mergers and acquisitions. Prior to landing my current position, I worked for an ambulatory care provider where I was responsible for helping them expand to over 220 centers in 36 states.

On what he was looking for…

I was interested in a position that would allow me to continue to grow professionally in the healthcare field. To help me find the right fit, it was important that I had a partner who had unique insight about the market. I found that in Becky, who took the time to understand my goals so that she could match me with an opportunity that was not only the right fit for my background, but also provided a new set of challenges.

On how TESG worked to meet his needs…

When I first met with Becky, it became clear that she was going to make the effort to help me accomplish my career goals. Taking my background into account, she only identified opportunities that would allow me to leverage my experience, while making an impact on the healthcare industry. This led me to my current position, which has allowed me to take my career in a new and exciting direction.
