Every 15 seconds, someone in the world is diagnosed with breast cancer. On October 8th, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, The Execu|Search Group is taking part in Estee Lauder’s Tech Day of Pink. Started in 2017, with the mission to unite the global tech community and help end breast cancer worldwide, Tech Day of Pink is an annual event dedicated to fundraising for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), and spreading education and awareness about the disease.
This year, although virtual, Tech Day of Pink will still circle around many events—including a hackathon, a panel of survivors and fighters, a fireside chat with medical and healthcare professionals, and virtual yoga from Spain. T-shirt sales, along with a social media hashtag challenge will also be used to encourage donations. Using this year’s three hashtags: #TechInPink2020, #TimeToEndBreastCancer, and #ELCdonates, you can drive donations from CIOs across the globe and Estee Lauder.
To help support, The Execu|Search group will be making a donation to BCRF and educating our community and raising awareness on our social media channels. “In the virtual world we are living in, there are so many ways to get involved and make an impact. Something as simple as posting on social media can spread awareness and raise money to help end the fight against breast cancer. It’s been great to see our company come together to support Estee Lauder’s Tech Day of Pink, and fundraise for such an important cause,” says Julie Kirsch, Senior Director of Technology at ES Technology, a division of The Execu|Search Group.
