Our firm has a long history of supporting worthy causes and organizations. On a monthly basis, our firm raises money or goods for a charity that has been nominated by our staff, and Tandym Group matches the donations made during these charitable fundraisers.
As the driving force behind our community initiatives, staff members participate in community events, volunteer their time to a variety of causes, and make donations to a wide range of organizations. We encourage staff to get involved as volunteers and supporters of community organizations and offer all staff members an extra day off to volunteer their time.
In addition to individuals volunteering on their own, many of our employees give back together. For example, a major initiative of our Women’s Network, which was founded to unite our female employees, is to function as a collective that supports related nonprofit organizations together. Through donations and workshops, the Women’s Network regularly partners with nonprofit organizations, such as The Grace Institute and Dress for Success, that are geared towards helping women move forward in their careers.
Tandym Group is committed to responsible corporate citizenship, and we believe that this includes a dedication to maintaining sustainable and ethical business practices. We are constantly re-evaluating our business practices in order to become a more energy efficient and environmentally-friendly firm. From waste reduction to community investment, our commitment to sustainability began many years ago and we’re consistently setting new goals to enhance our sustainability initiatives year after year.
Tandym Group supports environmentally-friendly initiatives, and we’re committed to a policy of conservation and waste reduction. In the last several years, we’ve expanded our use of “paperless processes,” including a transition to paperless timesheets, invoices, applications, and marketing materials. In addition to the processes we support within the office, our building for our NYC headquarters contains a “green roof” that provides added insulation and helps keep our waterways clean by reducing runoff during storms. Building tenants are also committed to a recycling program that diverts significant waste from landfills, and we actively participate in the EPA’s WasteWise program.
We know that our people have been key to our continued success, and ensuring our employees have the support they need to lead healthy lives is part of our commitment to social responsibility. As a result, we’ve expanded the informational sessions we offer for all employees to cover a wide range of topics, including healthy lifestyle habits, financial planning, and time management tips. We also offer incentives for healthy habits, including reimbursements for gym memberships.
